The Women pistol league is currently looking for women that would like to learn how to shot a pistol and more.

If you participated in a previous season of the Women Pistol League, please contact John Reed at 724-864-2488 or Diana Ruffner at 724-744-2514. We would like to keep you informed of events dates, start of season and future special classes.

ISA WOMEN'S LEAGUE

We are currently meeting the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, at 6:30 pm until dusk (9 pm) starting

April 3 & 17

May 1 & 15

June 5 & 19

July 3 & 17

August 7 & 21

Sept 4 & 18
Membership at ISA is not required; this league is open to the public.
The cost is only $3.00, come out and learn how to shoot and meet other women that like to shoot handguns.

The Women's league is designed to take anyone from beginner to whatever skill level
they wish to achieve.

The objective of some is to improve their skill levels for target and/or competitive
shooting.
Others, while wanting to improve their skills, also are interested in the aspects
of self-defense.

While this not a "formal" class, the instruction and material is based on the
basic pistol and self-defense course of the NRA.

Having your own handgun is not required to participate. Firearms are available to use.

Some of the subjects that we cover are:

  • Firearm Safety
  • Correct Stance
  • Sight Picture
  • Choosing the best firearm and caliber for your hand size and purposes
  • The "mindset" for self-defense
  • Care and cleaning of your firearm
  • Different methods of carrying concealed
  • Self-defense in the home
  • Point and shoot method
Any questions, contact John Reed @ 724-864-2488
